Ag/Equine Appraisals

When will you need a personal property appraisal?

  • Insurance
  • Loans
  • Donations
  • Personal
  • Taxes
  • Buying and Selling
  • Bankruptcy
  • Divorce
  • Estate Settlements

Appraisals are used in litigation, divorce, trust and estate settlements, bankruptcy, forced liquidation auctions and in establishing collateral value for loans.

Appraisals are used to help settle or even prevent lawsuits if you are involved in any type of litigation.  Services include expert witness testimony and litigation assistance with interrogatories, investigations and witness questioning.

Mandatory appraisals for all charitable contributions of personal property that exceeds $5,000 are required by the Internal Revenue Service and must be validated by a certified appraisal.

Certified appraisals are used as valid marketing tools, and can make potential buyers feel more confident about prospective purchases.  Our valuation system makes it possible to appraise all breeds/disciplines or farm equipment.

Professional appraisals often make the difference between insuring personal property (like horses) for what they are really worth, or settling for a company valuation, which is generally lower than the property’s real fair market value.

Kathleen is an ASAA Certified appraiser; she will bring knowledge of the equine market and professional expertise to each and every assignment. Call Kathleen if you’d like an appraisal completed on your equine or personal property: (218) 770-4777.
